Women's Six Nations: France vs England's Red Roses Grand Slam decider updates, latest scores, team news, commentary from Bordeaux

Villa tell Rogers suitors he's not for sale

Latest from Your Site News' Rob Dorsett and Lyall Thomas:

Aston Villa are believed to have made it clear to interested clubs that they do not want to sell Morgan Rogers this summer, Your Site News understands.

Arsenal lead several clubs including Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain with serious interest in the forward.

However, Villa would not welcome any bids and, as a result, have not put a clear price on the England stars value.

That being the case, the fact that other top Premier League players are being valued as high as 120m+ will point towards the kind of offer it might take to test that Villa resolve.

Another Arsenal forward target Julian Alvarez is considered widely to be worth even more, especially as he has a 430m (500m) release clause.

To date, there has been no formal approach from any club for Rogers this summer and that is almost certain due to the awareness of Villas position. Some sources are anticipating an approach from Arsenal, however.

Villa are expected to have to sell at least one player in order to execute their own transfer plans, after once again qualifying for the Champions League.

However, contrary to reports, there is no June 30 deadline for Villa to have to meet Premier League and/or UEFA financial rules.

Strachan joins West Brom

Celtic first-team coach Gavin Strachan has joined West Bromwich Albion.

The son of former Hoops boss Gordon moved to Parkhead in 2020 and worked under Neil Lennon, Ange Postecoglou, Brendan Rodgers, Wilfried Nancy and Martin O'Neill.

ONeill is yet to confirm his backroom team since being appointed permanent boss earlier this month.

Man City close in on 17m deal for Maresca

Your Site News' Kaveh Solhekol explains that Manchester City have agreed to pay Chelsea a compensation package of around 17m to ensure Enzo Maresca will take over from Pep Guardiola.

Millwall close to signing Arconte

Latest from Your Site' Peter Smith:

Millwall are close to sealing their second signing of the summer with Rodez striker Tairyk Arconte set for a medical.

The forward scored 14 goals in France's Ligue 2 last season.

Millwall signed midfielder Derek Mazou-Sacko from Rodez last season.

Arconte will follow midfielder Jenson Metcalfe in signing for the Lions in this transfer window.

Steinwender to leave Hearts

Michael Steinwender is leaving Hearts to join VfL Bochum for an undisclosed fee.

The defender will make the move to the second tier Germany side on July 1.

The 26-year-old old joined the Jambos in January 2025 and made 47 appearances.

Ipswich closing in on O'Neil appointment

Latest from Your Site News' Lyall Thomas:

Ipswich are close to making Gary ONeil their new manager.

The final stages of his appointment are ongoing and there is increasing expectation he will be confirmed in the next 24 hours.

O'Neil has been in charge at Strasbourg since January and has previously managed Bournemouth and Wolves.

Salford sign Aimson

Salford have completed the signing of Will Aimson on a free transfer.

The 32-year-old - who was released by Wigan earlier this summer - has signed a two-year deal at the Peninsula Stadium.
